The Cultivator readies the soil for new beginnings. Tilled land becomes the incubator of Asheville’s bold new hop harvest. Throughout the year, we make this beer with NW hops, but our Fresh Hop version is released at the end of Summer – made entirely with Asheville-grown hops. We add local Riverbend 6 row pale, Midnight Wheat, and a healthy dose of malted rye to craft a rich black ale without the bitterness of your typical darker beer. We add an abundance of NW “C” hops to this beer to give it its fruity flavor. A profoundly sharp and resinous quality is found within the subtle dark chocolate flavor of this Black IPA.
