Catawba will release a special Clip or barrel Aged Wild IPA (5. 5% ABV) as part of their Mardi Gras celebration. This beer began his parade twelve months ago as a a great deal tamer session IPA, before shopping a year with Brettanomycees in walnut barrels. After aging, the drinks was dry-hopped, lending ripe temperate fruit and citrus peel types to the earthy farmhouse funk of your traditional wild ale, with an ever-so-subtle hint of bourbon.
Brewed in Morganton and wrinkled in Asheville, this is Passport Beer #8 in Catawba’ which usually 2017 Small Batch rewards affiliate program, available in their three tasting places and in limited distribution.
Catawba will host their Trail Mardi Gras party on Tuesday, Feb. 26 at their Southwest Slope location (32 Banks Ave). Festivities begin at 5pm, rigtht after the Asheville Mardi Gras Celebration. Bring your krewe and come to for music by The Low Down Prestige, a New Orleans-style brass band, in addition a special Cajun-themed menu courtesy of Deli Llammma food truck.
