Matchstick Petit Abbey

Home / Beer / Matchstick Petit Abbey

A massive fire sits within a tank at Hi-Wire. A 10% monstrous flame is ready for barrels and will descend upon Asheville this October. In the meantime, a tiny matchstick was saved from the engulfing flames, and brought to Burial where it could burn. A small beer created from a Belgian Quad, this Petit Abbey has a remarkable malt backbone, finished with local honey and golden raisins. We finished the beer with a blend our house yeast and traditional Abbey yeast, for a profoundly complex flavor in a small package. At 5.3%, you don’t have to sacrifice sobriety for flavor.
